Application Process for Naturalization

The first step in the application process for naturalization is to submit an application form, along with supporting documents, to the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. The required documents include proof of identity, proof of residency in Slovakia, proof of marital status, birth certificate, criminal record certificate, and proof of language proficiency.

After the application is submitted, an interview will be scheduled. During the interview, applicants will be asked questions about their personal life and motivations for seeking citizenship. They will also be required to take the history and civics tests.

If the applicant is successful in meeting all of the requirements, they will be granted citizenship. Otherwise, their application will be denied and they will have to wait 5 years before reapplying.
